A Look Into

Cyndi's Modern
Boho Nursery

A few months ago, we kicked off a partnership with our friends at Havenly to help Cyndi Ramirez of Chillhouse create a beautiful nursery for her baby boy, Hendrix. During the process, we chatted with her about interior design, self-expression, and the emotional benefits of a well-organized home.

Could tell us the story behind this project.

The Baby Hendrix nursery was a very special project. I wanted it to be perfect (for us). That meant creating a nursery that didn’t scream “baby” yet brought in elements of my husband and I’s taste paired with nursery musts that we feel aligned with Baby Hendrix’s “personality.” It’s the most important room in the house now. It’s where I’ll spend most of my time and will raise a new life in.

Where did you draw your inspiration from?

I got started by combining nurseries that I loved on Pinterest and gathering inspiration from around our apartment. We didn’t want it to feel disconnected from the rest of our space. I was also strangely attracted to safari animals in other nurseries I saw, and so we incorporated some of those vibes through the artwork and his stuffed animals.

How would you describe your style?

Chic, modern, eclectic, but comfortable and bold.

How does the final design reflect you?

At the end of the day, Adam and I are caretakers. We wanted our home to be reflective of that, despite the small size. It’s cozy and inviting.

How important is it for you to keep this space calm and clutter-free?

Probably the most important thing in the world. I can only be present and relaxed if my space is organized, and I want the nursery to always feel like a sanctuary so that positive energy stays present around my baby.

Which Open Spaces products did you bring into this space?

We have the Drawer Dividers (life changers), Nesting Trays , Medium Bins , Small Bins , and the Large Baskets . They all serve their purpose for storage and organization, and they're so minimal that it doesn't distract from the rest of the space. I genuinely love all of them.

Could you tell us which one is your favorite?

I'd say the Drawer Dividers . They're easy to use and immediately take the organization game to the next level.

Do you have a philosophy when it comes to home organization?

If you have to second guess it, toss it.

Any quick tips to share?

Get Drawer Dividers for your dresser and label each section. It'll change your life.
